The patriots listed Rob Gronkowski as unable to practice due to left ankle injury in just few days before the Giants and Patriots face off on super bowl 46.

The patriots were required to an injury report on which Gronkowski was listed as “DNP.” Twelve players, including wide receiver Wes Welker, guard Logan Mankins and linebacker Rob Ninkovich, were listed as “limited participation.”

Rob Gronkowski got his injury during their game on Sunday’s AFC campionship victory over Baltimore ravens meanwhile, Gronkowski was expected to play in the Super Bowl despite suffering ligament damage.

Gronkowski set NFL records for tight ends with 1,327 receiving yards and 17 touchdown catches this season.
