Superbowl 46 had been reported as breaking the record of twitter. The first record came when Madonna’s halftime performance generated 10,245 tweets per second (TPS), Twitter said. This beat the previous record of 9,402 TPS set during the Denver Bronco’s overtime playoff win in January. However, the halftime record was quickly smashed. By the end of the game, 12,233 TPS were posted.
